Aristotle Response Questions

    1.) I believe that Aristotle would have had a positive response to Christy's painting because Aristotle enjoyed and believed in the idea of a strong government/ leadership therefore he would of liked the depiction of the men signing the Constitution.

    2.) In my opinion, there are four elements to this painting. There is, 1, the president standing on the podium, 2, the cabinets behind the president, 3, the congressman/senator in front of the president, and 4, the common people standing in the back.

    3.) Aristotle would have assumed that the government being formed was a democracy because he believed in governments that had power but also shared power and decision making with the people. Democracy was Aristotle's preferred form of government.

    4.) The men who signed the constitution consisted of common men who were like normal people you would see on the street. These men represented the people of America and the freedom that they all wanted to reach. 

    5.) The two readings have both similarities and differences. Both Tocqueville and Aristotle explain their viewpoints on government but their works differ because Tocqueville singly overviews democracy while Aristotle speaks over multiple types of government and why some are more just than others.
